When looking at 2020, Frank and Laura Krüger are torn. On one side there are all the problems that came with Corona. On the other hand, there are also many loyal customers and an incredibly great and close contact with people all over the world that inspires! So the couple, who thrilled with lots of great ideas this year, can also take away a lot of positive things from 2020!
The review of the year begins with a thank you!
When Frank and Laura look back on 2020, the first thing that comes to mind is one word: Thank you! Thanks to all customers who have been enthusiastic about Frank’s art for many years and who have remained loyal to the galleries and bought works of art even in this economically difficult year.
Another no less big thank you also goes to all those who have always been by the couple’s side online and who have celebrated the year with all its ups and downs together. For Frank and Laura, it became clear how important and, above all, how nice it is to maintain close contact with all fans of Frank’s art via online channels and to look forward together.
Recognize the opportunity in a crisis
It cannot be glossed over: economically, 2020 was a catastrophe for many. Laura and Frank also looked to the future with concern at first and thought about how the galleries could survive this pandemic year. Finally, rents etc. were incurred in closed galleries. But it quickly became clear to both of them: giving up is not an option! The first ideas were soon bubbling up and a virtue was made out of necessity.
During the tough lockdown on Mallorca, for example, the new gallery in Artà was opened virtually without further ado and the event was broadcast live on Facebook and Instagram. This first real online event soon developed into the weekend show, which over the year reached many viewers all over the world and took it into the couple’s everyday life. In addition to information and news about art and Mallorca, there were great raffles.
New ideas, new products!
Together with the community, the power couple worked continuously on new ideas and kept looking for ways to surprise. Frank designed a beautiful bottle for the special edition of an organic gin, which is available in a limited edition. Also new to the range are Mallorca sculptures, which are available in various sizes and were placed under many Christmas trees this year. And just recently, at the beginning of Advent, Frank Krüger added bull stickers for the car to its range!
But Frank was also able to gain new experiences this year. So in the summer an image film was made about the art and the galleries by Frank Krüger, who gave the artist himself a completely different view of his work. The intensive examination of what the couple has already achieved and created together made many things even more tangible. To see the finished film at the end was accordingly a very emotional moment!
Look into the future together
Even if 2020 was a year that demanded a lot from everyone, Frank Krüger looks positively into the future. Together with his wife Laura, he still has many ideas that he would like to implement in 2021 and in the following years. Above all, it is important to them that the community is involved in every step and is always there – hopefully soon again at face-to-face meetings in the galleries, but also online, of course.
