Time is a strange unit of measurement: This month we are celebrating the one year anniversary of our new gallery in Cala Ratjada. We started there in July 2021 under the motto “Art & Champagne” and somehow it feels like yesterday – although at the same time it also feels like we’ve been there forever!
Break new ground
When Frank Krüger announced at the beginning of last year that he would close his small gallery at the port of Cala Ratjada, many customers and fans were very sad. For many, a visit to the gallery was simply part of a stroll down the Paseo, and Frank and his art were a fixture. Even if Frank himself didn’t make the decision lightly, it was the right one! As is so often the case, a window always opens when a door closes and so it was in this case!
Just a few minutes’ walk from the old gallery, Frank’s art found a new home on the Paseo in Cala Ratjada. Not only is there a lot more space for the art, but it has to be the gallery with the best view ever, as there are beautiful views of the harbor and the Paseo itself from the balconies. It’s an ambience where everyone feels equally comfortable!
And why Art & Champagne?
With the new location, the gallery in Cala Ratjada also got a new concept. Under the motto “Art & Champagne” you can not only enjoy the art, but also the view with a glass of champagne! Several tables are available in the gallery, inviting to spend more time there. The beautiful view and great conversations are included, so to speak! Even if some of you may have had your doubts at the beginning: the concept works and some even took the opportunity to rent a balcony for a special dinner or something similar and thus generate unforgettable memories of good times.
In this way, enjoyment in the gallery is really very important at all levels and visitors and customers are simply enthusiastic about the overall concept. So the gallery has not only become a place to see wonderful art, but it has also become a meeting place! With various events, Frank and his wife Laura always ensure that people come together, get to know each other and connect beyond art.
One of these events will take place on Saturday, July 16th, 2022! On this day the Fiesta del Carme is celebrated in Cala Ratjada and of course there will be a great fireworks display in the harbor at 10 p.m.! Frank and Laura offer a limited number of guests the opportunity to spend this wonderful evening right in the front row on the gallery terraces! If you want to be there, they ask you to make a reservation with a deposit of 10 € per person. Since only a limited number of tables and seats are available, please make a personal reservation directly at Galeria Frank Krüger. Minimum purchase per table is one bottle of champagne!
