The new year is here and with it the wanderlust of Frank Krüger and family again! Right at the beginning of the year, Frank, Laura and Lara are out and about in Andalusia and they are certain: Whether Seville or Cordoba … Andalusia is also worth a trip in winter!
Andalusia in winter
The Spanish mainland is great and Frank Krüger has taken a few short trips there with his wife Laura and daughter Lara in the past few months. Whether in late summer, autumn or now also in winter: Spain is simply always worth a trip! The Kruger can definitely draw this conclusion after their exploration tours. They are currently enjoying getting to know Andalusia in a rather quiet phase. There are only a few tourists on site, but thanks to the Three Wise Men celebrations, the cities are still lively and offer a lot of variety.
During the day it is fun to explore the surroundings in glorious sunshine. In the evening, however, it can be very cold – warm clothing is definitely advisable. Definitely worth it, because the lighting at this time makes it even nicer to take an evening stroll. The LED technology allows great light games everywhere and from the illuminated Christmas tree to light installations of the special kind, everything is included.
Art above the roofs of the city!
When an artist travels, one thing must of course not be missing – discovering other artists! In Seville, there was a great opportunity to do this, because there the German architect Jürgen Mayer H. created the * Las Setas * (the mushrooms), a construction made of wood, concrete and steel, which is now one of the city’s landmarks. It is especially nice when you explore the * Las Setas * in the evening, enjoy the wonderful interplay of light and spherical music and almost incidentally have a view over the roofs of the city.
The architect got the inspiration for the building, which was awarded as ** Best of the best 2012 ** of the * Red Dot Design Awards *, by the way, from the cathedral of Seville and the weeping fig trees in the nearby Plaza del Cristo de Burgos . Now the construction, which can also be called art, is a magnet for visitors. The * mushrooms * include shops, a market, bars, restaurants and an archaeological museum.
Traveling is always a pleasure!
After Seville, Frank and his family will continue to Cordoba – and there too there will certainly be lots of great things to discover! Follow the three on Facebook and Instagram, where you can always see the latest photos and videos!
