Karl Lagerfeld has inspired many people in his work as a fashion designer, designer, photographer and costume designer – and certainly provoked them too! Statements like “Whoever wears jogging pants has lost control of his life!” are legendary and make the fashion designer unforgettable. When Lagerfeld died in February 2019, people all over the world mourned him – also outside the fashion world, to which he had given so many beautiful collections.

In art, too, many were inspired by Karl Lagerfeld and, especially in PopArt, his portrait can always be found in different forms of representation! Frank Krüger was also inspired by the grand master of fashion and expressed his admiration for the extraordinary man in the Pop Art portrait “Tribute to Karl”.

A work of art made of synthetic resin, acrylic and lacquer was created on 110 x 72 cm that shows the fashion designer in profile and surrounded by the Chanel logo. The work of art is an absolute highlight for fans of the designer and fashionistas and would certainly be a great eye-catcher in a boutique or similar environment!
