The artist Christian Sommer is well known to many of our visitors. In our galleries you will find some of his beautiful works of art related to Cuba or Mallorca, which convey the lifestyle of the places. But Christian Sommer doesn’t just paint, he also creates beautiful bronze sculptures – and there are a few of them to admire in our galleries!
Limited edition bronze sculptures
There are only six copies of the 150 cm high bronze sculpture “Unveiling”, made by Christian Sommer in 2020. And we are proud that we have the number one in our gallery and can also offer it for sale there! While the name “unveiling” leaves a lot of room for interpretation, the sculpture itself conveys a clear picture. The woman, who only covers her head when she takes off her clothes, appears vulnerable due to her nudity and at the same time very self-confident due to her posture. A contrast that attracts many gallery visitors!
But not only the sculpture “Revelation” attracts visitors. The other two bronze sculptures by Christian Sommer that we have in our galleries are also real eye-catchers. The sometimes very provocative poses always attract attention – and then the work as a whole and especially the elaboration of the details for a lot of enthusiasm. No matter how many times you’ve seen the works, they always make you stop and admire them!
An artist with many facets
Frank Krüger and Christian Sommer have known each other for some time and since Christian spends at least part of his time on Mallorca, the artists are always in contact. Frank was enthusiastic about Sommer’s work right from the start and it was immediately clear to him that he would also like to exhibit and offer the works of art in his galleries. In addition to some prints, it is also the bronze sculptures that now inspire visitors to the galleries.
