When the question of the most beautiful bay in Mallorca comes up, tastes naturally differ. However, at least one brings Cala Agulla into play and raves about the great beach that belongs to Cala Ratjada. Frank Krüger also loves this bay and Cala Agulla not only plays a role in his art – it is also a place in his private life with which he associates many memories!
Cala Agulla – a little paradise!
Framed by a pine forest, a beautiful dune area and of course the mountains, Cala Agulla is definitely a bay that you should have visited! Whether relaxation on sun loungers, active leisure activities with water sports or simply a delicious drink or a snack at the bar as a hiking break – the bay offers something for every taste! With the beautiful sandy beach, which has been awarded the “Blue Flag” by the way, and the mostly calm, Caribbean blue sea, the bay enchants at first sight!
Frank Krüger is not only enthusiastic about the bay and its beauty, but has often been inspired by it. The bay plays the main role in some of his works of art and many fans of Cala Agulla have at least one art print of it at home to keep the longing for the beautiful place alive in everyday life! The surrealistic work of art Retrovisor is particularly popular here – but the prints with the bay (II & III) alone as a motif are also in demand again and again.
Private memories
Frank Krüger also associates many good memories with Cala Agulla in his private life. He used to be on the beach almost every day during the season, playing beach volleyball or partying with friends in the bars. The best memory is probably the day when he met his current wife Laura at Cala Agulla and knew immediately that they simply belong together.
So it fits quite well that Cala Agulla also plays a very special role in the video that presents Frank and his art. There Frank went swimming with one of his bull paintings for the recordings and thus created a very special connection between his art and this beautiful place. There is hardly any need to mention that Frank and Laura still like to be at Cala Agulla and think of the many moments in which the bay has influenced their lives!
