Thirteen years of “Galeria Frank Krüger” at the port of Cala Ratjada – a small era is coming to an end! Frank and Laura Krüger are in the process of clearing the small gallery in Cala Ratjada these days. You look back somewhat wistfully on the many years and countless beautiful moments.
Cala Ratjada – where it all began!
Frank Krüger’s first gallery in Cala Ratjada was an old fisherman’s garage. With the move to the premises in the port, he fulfilled a dream and from then on was simply part of the image of the port. His colorful paintings, especially the bulls, could be seen from afar and always attracted visitors. The view over the harbor also often served as inspiration when the artist was working on a new painting in the gallery and enjoying the sun on the paseo during the breaks.
Especially in the season there was always life in the gallery. Many tourists and fans of the artist admired the beautiful works of art and were also happy to have a nice chat with Frank when he was there. For Frank himself the encounters were always special and motivated him. The exchange about art, Cala Ratjada or other topics was always a welcome change at work.
Where a door closes, a window opens elsewhere!
Now it is time to say goodbye to the beautiful gallery at the harbor. The current situation has contributed – but other factors also played a role in Frank and Laura’s decision. And as sad as they are on the one hand, they are also positive about the future. You are sure it is the right step. No new window has opened yet, but with the galleries in Palma, Artà and Berlin it’s not a real farewell – it’s just a change. And, as is well known, changes are part of life.
So the focus of the creative couple is now on many other actions and projects that are waiting to be implemented and that will surely inspire many people. And of course they are also looking forward to growing closer together with their community on Facebook and Instagram. If the chat in front of the gallery in Cala Ratjada is no longer possible, it is currently taking place digitally – and hopefully soon again here on the beautiful island where tourists are so much missed!
