December in Mallorca is really a special time. It’s quiet, there are only a few tourists left, but more people come to the island to winter. Somehow everything seems to be a little slowed down and the Spaniards as well as the residents use the time in many ways to enjoy life!
Recharge your batteries in December!
Usually in December on Mallorca the weather is mostly great. While we residents tend to avoid the sun in summer, we look for it in December and are only too happy to make ourselves comfortable with a coffee on a sun terrace and enjoy the view of the sea. Together with friends and family you can enjoy the beautiful hours and often pleasant temperatures and let the year end together. Excursions are also often on the agenda for this, because the most beautiful places on the island are not so overcrowded.
Of course, all of this also ensures that everyone recharges their batteries and relaxes after a stressful season. The daily routine is no longer so well planned, there is more space for the finer things in life and, above all, spontaneity. Enjoying the day is right at the top of the priority list – and the work that comes up is well distributed over the week so that life does not come off badly.
Preparations for the next season
After the season is also before the season! The artist Frank Krüger therefore likes to use December to spend more time in his studio again and to work on the ideas he has gathered over the past few months. Without any time pressure, you can try out new things and let your creativity run free. So it’s a time when a lot is moving and moving forward – and Frank always enjoys that very much.
But not only painting and creating is in the foreground in December, but also planning for the next season, which is not far away. Now is the right time to make all the preparations, get projects rolling and make sure that everything works smoothly in the summer when the holidaymakers are on site and the galleries are filled with life again. There is always a lot to do there too and so it is guaranteed not to be boring at the end of the year, even if there is not so much to see outside!
