Winter in Mallorca is a wonderful time! The sun is shining, the temperatures are pleasant and everything is green and in bloom all around. This is the best time for Frank and Laura to go hiking and to explore the island’s most beautiful destinations on foot!
Hiking gives you energy!
While some sink exhausted into the sofa at the thought of climbing mountains on foot, for Frank Krüger hiking is more something that gives him energy. Being outside, getting very close to nature and enjoying the surroundings with every step – that charges the artist’s batteries. Almost by the way there are still new inspirations, because it is well known that nature still creates the most beautiful works of art!
Mallorca in particular offers an incredible number of excursion destinations that can only be reached on foot and reward the effort with an indescribable view. The ascent on stony and not always recognizable paths is worthwhile if you then enjoy views over the island that only a few know! The hike up Son Jaumell in Cala Ratjada that Frank and his family recently took is the best example of this. From Cala Agulla we went up the mountain, from where a magnificent view over Cala Ratjada and Cala Mesquida compensated for every single step!
An artist with sporting ambitions!
Even as a child, Frank Krüger liked to lace up his hiking boots and explore his surroundings. The older he got, the more demanding the routes became. There were big backpacking tours from hostel to hostel. At some point Germany wasn’t enough either and we went on tour in other European countries!
Even if Frank and his family no longer go on real hiking holidays today, they all enjoy being in nature and looking forward to exercise in the open air. They often enjoy free time on the island’s hiking trails and are grateful for this kind of slowing down. Because hiking is really one of the best ways to clear your head and relax far away from the stress of everyday life!
