How it all began with the art, the galleries and Mallorca. The artist, Frank Krüger, started painting already in kindergarten. Above all, he put people and animals in motion very well on paper. His father was a photographer and his mother a technical draftswoman – his artistic talent was, so to speak, in his cradle. Already at the age of 11 he had sold his first painting.
Frank always followed his dream
The saying “one cannot live on art” is well known. But Frank has never let himself be influenced by such beliefs. It was clear to him that art belonged in his life. Being artistically active fulfils him and makes him happy. He has more than achieved his goal of making money with art. The dream of being a successful artist has also come true.
Of course, Frank also went through very hard times. Sometimes he didn’t know how to pay his rent. Since he never doubted his dream, he is now the only artist in Europe who runs four galleries of his own. Frank is very proud of the Galeria Frank Krüger Frank and he can be!
How it all begann in Mallorca
Frank’s brother already lived in Mallorca, near Cala Millor. This was the reason why Frank ended up in this corner of the island. At the request of a friend, he moved to Cala Ratjada. There Frank started with small exhibitions in restaurants and hotel lobbies. He opened the first small gallery in the Carrer de ses Monges near the port. In 2007 the artist took over a shop in the first sea line (Passeig Colom). And this very successfully! The Galeria Frank Krüger can still be found there today.
Frank has gradually reduced the other exhibitions. He concentrated on his own gallery and used it piece by piece to achieve success. This is how another gallery was opened in Palma. The next Galeria Frank Krüger was then opened in Berlin. In 2020 the gallery in Artà was added. Have a look at one of the galleries! Maybe you will find an artwork for your home!
