What would we be without love What would we be without hope? We would have a very sad existence. Because love and hope ensure that we get up every day, go our way and also come to terms with obstacles. Even if they trip us up sometimes. Love then catches us and hope ensures that we judge the proverbial crown and move on. With his sculpture “Love Is The Dope Of Hope“, the artist Frank Krüger tells about it – and much more!
Love Is The Dope Of Hope – a sculpture with a story!
Anyone who has followed Frank Krüger and his career for a long time also knows his love for the city of New York. Whenever possible, the artist travels to the metropolis and immerses himself there in life. He brings a lot of inspiration from his travels and often works of art by other artists that inspire him and are then also offered in the three galleries in Artà, Palma and Berlin. The inspiration from the vibrant city flows into many works of art, and some of the paintings Frank is particularly fond of have a New York connection (e.g. Flamenco on Broadway and Blues in NYC).
The sculpture also has a strong connection to New York, because Frank was inspired for this sculpture by the artwork by Robert Indiana, which is located in New York. The Love sculpture is world famous and hardly anyone visits the city without having their picture taken in front of the sculpture. Frank liked the idea and the arrangement of the letters – but he wanted to expand the message of love a little. This is how “Love Is The Dope Of Hope” came about, because love inspires hope. A statement that Frank not only believes, but lives. With his wife Laura, he always tries to look positively ahead in the knowledge that the love of his family strengthens his back.
Art for indoors and outdoors!
The sculpture “Love Is The Dope Of Hope” is made of metal and has the dimensions 130 x 140 x 70 cm. The car paint used not only ensures the metallic shimmer of the colors, but also ensures it is weatherproof. Thus, the sculpture can be set up not only indoors, but also outdoors. A real eye-catcher, which is currently always attracting attention in our gallery in Artà.
Love and hope are things we all can never have enough of. With this sculpture, this important message is captured once more and will soon remind people in a new “home” every time they look at it and make them happy!
