For a year now, all of our lives have been more or less determined by Corona. It goes without saying that it was not an easy year. But Frank Krüger and his wife Laura also managed to make the best of the situation during this time. Thanks to their loyal buyers and community, they not only survived the year relatively well, but also look positively into the future!
Corona has changed everything
No word has been uttered as often in the last twelve months as Corona. The virus dominates our private and professional lives and has ensured that many things that used to be completely normal have suddenly become a highlight. For example, going to a café or restaurant. Or a trip to Mallorca!
Frank and Laura have had to take a completely different path with their galleries in the last twelve months. The two galleries in Palma and Cala Ratjada in particular have of course been very popular destinations for many years, especially with tourists. Quite a few have chosen the works of art here on the island that they later wanted to enjoy in their home. Suddenly it was no longer possible to visit the galleries or only under certain conditions. And even traveling itself was not possible for many. Not an easy situation for Frank and his team. Especially because the new gallery was opened in Artà.
Go new ways
The Krüger house quickly agreed that giving up is not an option. Laura in particular, who always looks positively into the future and is looking for solutions, was literally bubbling over with new ideas. Frank also did not let his creativity be impaired and so new paths were broken! Social media played a particularly important role last year. The energetic couple is active on Facebook and Instagram every day and not only shows art, news from the galleries and current work, but also takes a little bit with them into life on the beautiful sunny island of Mallorca.
However, the loyal buyers and the community, without whom nothing would have been possible, were and are very important at every step. From virtual gallery tours to weekend shows, everything that previously happened in personal contact was quickly relocated to the Internet – and everyone was enthusiastic! So it was possible for Frank Krüger to sell his art last year and of course also to create new art.
With a lot of energy into the new season
Now the new season is just around the corner for Mallorca and nobody knows exactly how it will be. Due to the low number of infections at the moment, everyone is cautiously looking to the future with hope. Galeria Frank Krüger is also preparing to hopefully soon be able to welcome visitors to the galleries on Mallorca and Berlin again. Because as great as the opportunities that the Internet offers us all are, a face-to-face meeting is irreplaceable.
Frank and Laura have bought a lot of fine art, which of course they want to show together with their team again this year. The best way to chat is with a glass of sparkling wine and surrounded by art! So we all keep our fingers crossed that there will soon be more opportunities to travel again and that we will all see each other again!
