Without the sea something is simply missing!

Frank liebt das Meer

Heinrich Heine once said: “I love the sea like my soul, because the sea is my soul!” That may sound a bit exaggerated to one or the other – but anyone who has discovered the love of the sea will be able to understand it. Frank Krüger can also identify with this quote. The sea exerts a great fascination on him and he needs to be close to the water!

The sea offers everything you need!

No matter what mood you are in – the sea is always the perfect place to feel even better. Frank knows that too! The proximity to the sea is extremely important to him and if he is too long without the sound of the waves, he is definitely missing something. He discovered this love for water and the beach early on! As a windsurfer from the very beginning and a passionate beach volleyball player as well as kitesurfer, a lot has revolved around the cool water for the artist in recent years and decades.

But Frank doesn’t just enjoy spending his free time by the sea. For many years he has had his small gallery in Cala Ratjada directly at the harbor and enjoyed being able to keep looking at the water while working. When he gave up the gallery earlier this year, the view of the water and harbor was one of the things he missed the most. Now, with the new gallery in Cala Ratjada, he can enjoy an even more beautiful view of the beautiful harbor and the sea.

Source of calm, inspiration and energy

Today Frank enjoys having the sea at his door all day again. Sometimes he sits on the balcony of the gallery as early as 9 o’clock and just enjoys the view of the waves and the sparkle that the breaking sunlight releases. Especially when it is still quiet in the village and only a few are out and about on the Paseo, the view of the water alone gives you energy for the whole day. But a deep inner calm returns to Frank when he sees the waves in front of him.

Last but not least, the sea is also always a source of inspiration for the artist – and many of the works of art also have a maritime influence. El Pescador is a beautiful and very popular example of this, but many other works of art related to water also inspire the gallery’s customers. But even with the works of art in which the sea plays no apparent role, it was often the source of inspiration. For example, because the idea came while looking out over the water! In any case, one thing is clear: Frank loves and needs the sea – and thanks to his videos and photos and of course his works of art, we can all follow this bond again and again!
